Erosion Control Wattles
Unlike "Blown Wattles" produced by other manufacturers, US Erosion Straw Wattles are made with a Special Augured Process that gives our wattles increased density and superior performance! We are sure you will agree; AUGURED WATTLES ARE BETTER!
US Erosion Wattles are made with 100% Certified Weed Free Wheat Straw, Excelsior, Coconut or Geotextile Fibers and are bound into a tight tubular roll. When Wattles are placed on the face of slopes, they intercept stormwater runoff, reduce its flow velocity, release the runoff as sheet flow, and provide removal of sediment from the runoff. By interrupting the length of a slope, the Wattle can also reduce erosion. Wattles are designed to stop sediment and other debris from entering retention ponds, lakes and other water bodies. COCONUT COIR LOGS NATURAL COIR NETTING
Coconut Coir Logs are made of 100% Coconut Fibers pressed into a tubular Coir Mesh Netting. The outer Coir Mesh Netting is hand knotted for superior performance. The dimensions are 1.77” x 2.17” in the machine and cross direction, respectively. Coconut Coir Logs are designed to withstand high water flow and wave impact without loss of material to ensure maximum erosion prevention. Coconut Coir Logs enhance plant growth and microbial activity in high water flow areas the Coconut Coir Logs are placed directly on the bank. Coconut Coir Logs are also placed offshore to reduce wave action to ensure sedimentation and vegetation. We offer 3 diameter sizes: 9”, 12”, and 20”.
